2. Installation knowledge of LED light belt
2.1 Flexible light belt is installed indoors
When used for interior decoration, the installation of LED light belts is extremely simple because they do not need to be exposed to wind and rain. Before installation, wash the debris on the installation surface to ensure that the surface is immaculate. The back of each type of LED light belt is pasted with self-adhesive 3M double-sided adhesive tape. When installing, you can directly remove the sticker on the surface of the 3M double-sided adhesive tape, and then fix the light strip in the place where it needs to be installed. Press it flat by hand. As for corners or tall parts, you can cut off the excess lamp belt at the mouth of the scissors. 2.2 Flexible light with outdoor installation
In order to ensure the service life and safety of the product, the selected product should adopt an outdoor protective lamp belt according to the environmental requirements. Before installation, determine the protection performance of the product. Outdoor installation due to the wind and rain, if the use of 3M glue fixed, a long time will cause 3M adhesive reduced and LED light strip off, therefore outdoor installation usually uses the card slot fixed way, need to cut and connect the place, the method is the same as indoor installation, in addition to need to be equipped with waterproof glue, in order to consolidate the waterproof effect of the connection point.
2.3 Power connection Method
The general voltage of the LED lamp belt is 12V DC, so it needs to use a switching power supply. The size of the power supply depends on the power of the LED lamp belt and the connection length. If you do not want each LED light belt to be controlled by a power supply, you can buy a switching power supply with relatively large power as the main power supply, and then connect all the LED light belt input power supply in parallel (if the wire size is not sufficient, it can be extended), and unified power supply by the main switching power supply. The advantage of this is that it can be controlled centrally. The inconvenience is that it cannot realize the lighting effect and switch control of a single LED lamp belt. 2.4 Controller Connection Modes
LED running lights and RGB multi-color lights need to use the controller to achieve the changing effect, and the control distance of each controller is not the same. Generally speaking, the control distance of the simple controller is 10 to 15 meters, the control distance of the remote control controller is 15 to 20 meters, the longest can control to 30 meters distance. If the LED strip has a lengthy connection distance, and the controller cannot control that long strip, then you need to use a power amplifier for split-connecting.
Broadly speaking, the longest connection distance of the 3528 series LED light belt is 20 meters, and the longest connection distance of the 5050 series LED light belt is 15 meters. If the connection distance is exceeded, the LED lamp belt is easy to heat, and the service life of the LED lamp belt will be affected in the process of use. Therefore, the installation must be in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer, do not let the LED light with excessive load operation.
3. LED lights with limited knowledge
Each lamp belt has a "scissors" mark, can only be cut in the mark, cut wrong or cut off will lead to a meter of light! It is best to carefully look at the position of the mark before, and cut it in the middle where it is not connected.
Each lamp belt must be equipped with a special plug (plug with transformer); when connecting, be sure to remove the transparent plastic cover plate and cover it after connecting the test light. Must not connect directly with cover, so it easy to short circuit!
When the lamp belt is installed, it is typically placed in the lamp slot and swung straight. It can also be fixed with string or wire. For external or vertical installation, you need to buy another clip and tail plug.
